Tiwa Savage was one of the first female Nigerian celebrity to come out on the first day of the #ENDSARS protest with her colleague Falz and Runtown to speak up against police brutality in Nigeria. She lended her voice through all her social media platforms.
She has been with the #ENDSARS protesters from the start and even pushed back the production of her music video “PARK WELL” for the sake of the protest against police brutality. She replied a tweet from a fan that “the video for park well was to be released this Monday (15th of October) but I’ve pushed it back. I don’t want to distract away from the #endsars movement”.
Mama Jamjam took to her instagram live and passionately spoke about the epidemic facing her country. During this live broadcast, she called out Beyonce, whom Nigerians dubbed as Mama Africa, to speak up about the #ENDSARS protest. She tells her that she cannot be quiet about this.
She went further to give her opinion that this issue is deeper than bad leadership, she suspects there are people who benefits from seeing Nigerians fight and even police brutality.
