Africa popstar, Mr Eazi, collaborated with Reggaeton heavyweight J Balvin to release a anew single which they dubbed “Lento”
Mr Eazi relationship started with J Balvin back in 2018 when the latter selected Mr Eazi as the opening act to his 2018 North American Tour after meeting through mutual collaborator, Michael Brun. They have several records together such as “Como Un Bebé” from J Balvin’s 2019 album “Oasis” with Bad Bunny, and “Arcoíris” from J Balvin’s “Colores“, which recently won the Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Album.
Lento is the pair first release as a single. This comes after Eazi’s Nicki Minaj and Major Lazer-assisted “Oh My God,” which dropped back in October. “Lento” sees the pair trade verses in English, Spanish, and Yoruba. Production credit goes to Killertunez.
“Since we connected in 2018, J Balvin and I have been like brothers,” Mr Eazi stated about J Balvin. “It’s been a cross-cultural interplay and marriage between what I feel are cousins. It’s in that spirit that we made ‘Lento,’ one of many records we’ve recorded together.”
