Top Five Nigerian Gospel Artists Of 2021 Pin It

Nigerian gospel music has recently made waves in the worldwide gospel music business. Here are the top five most popular Nigerian gospel musicians.

In recent decades, there has been a decrease in the popularity of gospel music in the United States. The day’s music was strictly secular. This, I believe, was due to the fact that most gospel performers performed in their native tongues, making secular music more popular.

However, there has been a recent transition due to the development of Pentecostal congregations, which has given birth to Pentecostal worship. Many gospel musicians have found success as a result of Pentecostal worship.

These gospel musicians are well-known both locally and globally. Their music is of worldwide quality, and several of them have cooperated with overseas gospel singers.

We wrote about Top 5 Nigerian Gospel Artiste 2020 but here are the top five most well-known and famous gospel performers in Nigeria in 2021.

Sinach

Sinach is a Nigerian gospel artist who has recently received numerous accolades. She is also a songwriter, a beautiful singer, and an international worship leader.

It is not an exaggeration to state that her music can be found in every Nigetiabhime and Nigerian church on the planet.

Mercy Chinwo

Mercy Chinwo is a well-known Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter. Mercy is well known for her track Excess Love, which catapulted her to fame. The song brought her national and international acclaim and cemented her place as one of Nigeria’s greatest gospel vocalists.

Mercy Chinwo has been on a roll in Nigerian gospel music ever since she launched her hit, excess love. Mercy Chinwo must be included on any ranking of the top five gospel musicians.

Emmanuel Benjamin

Emmanuel Benjamin, often known as Eben, is a popular gospel singer and music pastor in Nigeria.

Eben had his first public appearance in 2005 at a youth conference, where he sang and performed his song “Imaramma” for the first time. Eben was thrust into the spotlight as a result of his performance.

Frank Edwards

Frank Edwards, real name Frank Ugochukwu Edward, is a well-known Nigerian gospel singer. In Enugu state, he was born into a family of seven.

Frank Edward is classified as a tenor vocalist. He is well-known for his high-pitched voice. He is a music producer and a professional mixer in addition to being a musician with several songs in various musical genres.

Nathaniel Bassey

Nathaniel Bassey‘s music ministry began in 1993. Nathaniel Bassey aspired to be a fantastic jazz musician who performed Afrocentric, jazz, and highlife music from an early age. As a consequence of his desire, he always plays jazz with his trumpets in nightclubs and parties.

The dancing, however, changed when he was born again and met Christ. It ceased being about the music and became all about knowing God, with the music serving as a vehicle to express God’s love.
