Waje – ‘Heart Season’ (Album review) Pin It

This is Waje’s first music project in a long time. This is her first musical offering for the year to fans and comes after she and soul singer, Ric Hassani had both featured themselves in each other’s singles in the previous year.

Heart Season is a five track project which includes songs like “Hold My Hands,” “Bottom Line,” “Call on Me,” “Last Time” and “Naked“.

Production credits for the tracks in this EP goes to OG, Magic Beats, Ayo Alli-Akeem and DJ Klem. It’s a beautiful music project with sensational tracks that will rejuvenate your soul.

The first tune off the EP, Hold my hands is a romantic songs about being with the one you love and cherish and even walking down the aisle with the person. Bottom line comes next. It is an affirmation of what she feels for her lover.

Call on me like the name implies urges her lover to always come to her through good times and bad times and she is always readily available for him. Last time is a solemn song that talks about how strong love can be. I’ll like to believe that this song was influenced by Adele as it gives off an Adele vibe.

The last song on the project is Naked. Waje really have her all into the project. This was what she said about it: ‘Heart Season is a 5 track story-based EP that Sometimes it’s full of joy and over the moon and other times, it is hurt, betrayed, scarred or broken but above all, still beautiful.’

Waje’s brand is one that speaks to the resilience of women – vulnerable, yet intense, understanding that challenges are a part of life but knows her strengths. She does not compromise. She is a heritage brand. She is a legacy – never fleeting, always evolving.
