In a groundbreaking moment for the Nigerian music industry, Burna Boy has secured an impressive four nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards, he got nominated for

Best African music performance; “city boys”

Best global music album; “I TOLD THEM”

Best melodic rap performance; “Sittin on top of the world”

Best global music performance; “Alone” .

But the excitement doesn’t stop there, as other Nigerian talents including Davido, Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr have also earned their first-ever Grammy nominations, marking a historic achievement for the country’s vibrant music scene.

Burna boy’s “city boy” , Asake featuring Olamide’s “Amapiano” , and Ayra starr’s “Rush” all got nominated for the African music performance category, while South African artiste Tyla also got nominated for song “water”.
