Davido: “A Better Time” Album Review

The fact that the four biggest artiste in Nigeria dropped their album this year makes me so happy. We have come a long way in the industry and the different albums reveals so much growth, effort and experience.

The recent album that we would be talking about is Davido’s A Better Time which has been making waves all over social media and topping charts. ABT houses 17 tracks with 13 featured artiste (a bit too much for an album though) which includes Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Tiwa Savage, Bella Shmurda amongst others.

I love how Davido was really diverse in his album. If you want street jam, owambe jam, club jam, family jam, it’s all there in the album. While some critics would say it makes the album more of a playlist, I won’t say I totally agree. It is just Davido being diverse, as always.

ABT had received lot of condemnation as well as critique. This started right from when a short part of Holy Ground which he featured award winning rapper, Nicki Minaj, in was leaked. A lot of opinion started flying around on social media. It became worse when the whole album was leaked two days to the date.

I would be talking about a few songs off the album and my personal view on them.
