Visualize The Idea
When designing a music video, it’s crucial to imagine what the video will look like. If this isn’t your strong point, I strongly advise you to watch music videos by some of your favorite musicians. Create a mood/inspirational board with items such as clothes, hair, cosmetics, colors, places, word references, and anything else that creates a certain atmosphere for your film.
When an artist shows us a mood board, it is always beneficial. It gives us a feel of who you are as an artist, your tastes, and what you enjoy and dislike.
The cost of making a music video may range from very little to extremely costly. It’s a good idea to notify your videographer about your budget right away so that they can help you design the concept around it. Here are some things to consider: Do you want extra cast members, such as backing dancers or actors, in your music video?
How many different sites are you filming at? How long will it take you to film your music video in these locations? How many clothes are you going to need for each location? How many props will you require? What is the total cost of everything? These are items to consider when creating a budget for your music video.

Practice
You must rehearse if you are expected to sing/perform/play instruments in your music video! This means you should remember the lyrics of your music and practice singing and moving/dancing to it. I strongly recommend rehearsing in front of a mirror since it will give you an idea of how you will seem on camera.
If you are not well-rehearsed, it may cost you extra money since editing your singing/playing sections will take longer, and it may harm the end result of the film.
Secure Your Properties And Set
In music videos, props are utilized for symbolic purposes. Again, I tell it all the time, but if you need certain props for your music video, you must prepare ahead of time. I strongly advise you to prepare your props a few weeks before your scheduled music video filming.
