Five Ways To Make Your Music Go Viral On Tiktok

Five Ways To Make Your Music Go Viral On Tiktok Pin It

The year TikTok took over our lives was twenty-twenty, and this year has been no different. People from all over the world have been flocking to the app in search of life hacks, delectable recipes to make at home, dance routines to recreate with their friends, and makeup tutorials to try. Along the way, TikTokers are exposed to music they’ve never heard before, and they’re occasionally reintroduced to songs they’ve forgotten about.

What distinguishes TikTok from the competition? Let’s start with this fact: more than 55% of all active TikTok users don’t only watch videos on the site; they also routinely submit their own. And it’s enormous.

It’s hard to know what proportion of YouTube users post videos, but it’s a small part of the platform’s 2 billion users. In this way, despite its enormous impact on current digital culture, YouTube remains a platform based on a classic “one-to-many” communication model. As a result, TikTok used the “many to many” paradigm of social media communication to video. On TikTok, everyone is both an audience and a creative person; this is how Tiktok has been able to remain successful.

TikTok facilitates this by making it simple for users to produce content. With filters, effects, and music, going from a concept to a completed edit takes only 10 minutes.

According to a study,  almost 80% of TikTok users say they come across new artists while on the app.

Here is our little trick on how to make your music go viral on TikTok

  1. TikTok appreciates consistency in your posting frequency. That’s a clever way of expressing “put up a lot of stuff” (like multiple times a day). If you use the platform, the algorithm rewards you. It’s ideal if you’re a frequent user.
  2. Knowing your target audience will help you, for a very long time. Find a musician whose sound is similar to yours. Find out the kind of challenges they like to participate in, and the hashtags they frequently use. This will get you into the brains of your potential soon-to-be fans through your content if you can get into their heads.
  3. Participating in other challenges helps. When you join in on trending challenges, the app will suggest you to other users. This in turn will bring visibility and engagement to your page; we all know the benefits of visibility. To make it more fun? You can make duets with top influencer videos.
  4. Start your dance challenge: It could be a simple dance movement like the #bloodysamaritanchallenge by Ayra Starr or even the complicated ones like the #breakfastchallenge. Just start a challenge.
  5. TikTok Spotlight: Take advantage of TikTok’s spotlight program, as it aids in the discovery of new and independent bands. This feature also aided in their mainstream acceptance. Musicians can upload their music to a specific music channel via Spotlight. All other TikTok users are allowed to utilize this music in their videos after that. Because TikTok has over 1 billion active users, exposure on such a large platform would undoubtedly benefit unsigned and independent bands.
