1. IF ORANGE WAS A PLACE.

It is safe to say that 2021 was such an exciting year for music star Tems. Amidst her collaborations and global recognition, she released her EP ‘If Orange was A Place’ to crown the year’s victory. This EP was another project that gave Tems the liberty to remain vibrant in the heart of her fans. In this EP, she didn’t deliver her sonorous voice alone but also gave her audience a thrill by featuring Brent Faiyaz on the single Found and including her previously released track Crazy Tingz. GuiltyBeatz produced the entire project. Tems “If orange was a place” EP currently has over 2.5 million streams on Boomplay.

2. SORRY I’M LATE

Buju’s feature on Ladi Poe’s single Feeling in 2021 gave his fans a glimpse of what to look forward to in the year, and Buju definitely didn’t leave his fans hanging. After a series of hit collaborations with artiste like Timaya for Cold Outside, Basket mouth’s your body to featuring on Wizkid’s mood. Buju finally released his debut project “Sorry I’m Late” in the last quarter of the year 2021. He featured acts like Cavemen on the EP.  We are definitely sure that songs from the EP “ Sorry I’m Late” is not leaving the lips of many anytime soon.

3. LV & ATTN EP

Lojay, who came to the limelight after his single ‘Ariel’ in 2019, didn’t give us a reason to doubt his skills after the release of LV & ATTN. The joint effort of Sarz and Lojay’s accurate use of words on the project gave it all the attention it needed. The 5-track EP, which Sarz also produced, featured superstar Wizkid, this gave the project an edge in the hearts of many. Tonogo is the track that initially went viral, but over time, Monalisa became the track that gained the most attention with over 4 million streams.

4. WATER AND GARRI

Titled after the number one Nigerian local cereal, Tiwa Savage’s Water & Garri EP proved to be as refreshing and filling as the meal. A dreamy, love-themed blend of Afropop, Afrobeats, and RnB. Water & Garri EP is sonically different and fresh with features with  Amaarae on Tales by Moonlight, a Tay Iwar assist on Special Kinda, and every woman’s hit anthem and hit song on the EP Somebody’s Son featuring Brandy.

5. BLIND

The EP “Blind” is an audio version of a love diary. Oladapo, the Sony Music West Africa Signee released this EP after dropping great tracks like “Gbe Bodi” in 2019 and “Love” in 2020. Blind is his debut EP, and it currently has over 90,000 streams on Boomplay.
