Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector the Viper, has released a new song in solidarity with the #ENDSARS Memorial.
The #ENDSARS memorial is an anniversary in remembrance of the victims that were massacred at the Lekki Tollgate on October 20th, 2020. It is a movement led by Nigerian youths against police brutality, corruption, and injustice.
Musical artists like Falz and Chike were in attendance at the memorial held yesterday, 20th of October 2021. In respect to the #ENDSARS protesters who lost their lives during the cause.
Vector, who is very vocal in the #ENDSARS movement released a piece titled “Family Meeting.” The song centres around the core reasons why ENDSARS began and its aftermath.
Sharing the content on his Instagram page, he wrote- “We will speak, we will rap, we will sing, we will write, we will get weary and find strength again, we will remember, we will always remember.”
The rapper who has released over five singles this year ‘Early Momo‘, ‘Crown of Clay‘, ‘Obedience’, ‘License‘ and others released visuals with it and we must say, he spoke the heart of most Nigerian Youths.
