Throughout 2022, hit songs have dominated the charts. The year has seen veteran artists and raising artists rise to superstardom while introducing listeners to new artists.

- Fireboy DML & Asake – Bandana
The 15th of July 2022 saw the release of the song that gave prestige to the whole YBNL family. With over 42 million YouTube streams, the hit track maintained the top position as Nigeria’s biggest sound for 3 weeks consecutively and ranked number one on Apple Music Top 100 Nigeria after release.
- Pheelz ft Buju – Finesse
The Nigerian Music Scene has received some finesse from Pheelz and Buju with “Finesse”. The track topped the Shazam charts on March 8, 2022, with more than 60 million YouTube streams.
- Rema – Calm down
He released Calm Down as the second single off his debut studio album Rave & Roses, produced by Jonzing World and Mavin. On August 25th, 2022, a remix of the song featuring Selena Gomez was released. On the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs Chart, the new version peaked at number one, and on the Global 200 chart, it peaked at number five.
- Asake & Olamide – Omo Ope
After making great leaps in the music scene since the release of his debut EP, Asake broke records with his Olamide-assisted banger, “Omo Ope.” The song tallied about 3.67 million equivalent streams (up 27%, No. 1 on streaming), 30 million in radio reach, and 6.84 million in TV reach. As a result, “Omo Ope” becomes the third song released under YBNL Nation to reach No. 1 on the TurnTable Top 50. The music video released in the first quarter of the year now has over 24m24 million views on YouTube.
- Kizz Daniel & Tekno – Buga
If there was another word for a hit song,’ Buga’ deserves it. For three months, the song held the title of ‘most popular song in Nigeria’. Without a music video, it maintained No. 1. on the TurnTable Top 50 for 6 weeks straight as the most streamed song in Nigeria and currently with over 104 millions views on YouTube.
