Stress Free depicts a polished artist who is not just exploring but also having fun, as well as sleek production standards, while symbolizing a successful profession.
D’banj enters Afrobeats innovation mode on “Stress Free,” as seen by the multi-layered fusion of horns, saxophones, and futuristic synthesizers throughout songs. The Egypt 80 adds horns to the Afrobeat fusion “Zombie,” the Afro-meringue mix “Welcome To Lagos,” as well as the free-wheeling “Stress Free” and “Banga.”

“I went back to legacy – which is why I got Egypt 80 (led by Seun Kuti) on all seven tracks – and then eased into a realm of zero anxiety after the turbulent period that the world has been through. We had a lot of fun in the studio and hopefully this all shows up on the record!” says D’Banj.
Meanwhile, “Ikebe” is a calm, uplifting prayer, “Big Vibe” combines the Amapiano sound into a pan-Continental dance spectacular, and “Avocado” – starring Burna Boy – transports you to a magnificent feeling of Afrobeats nirvana.
The album’s release will coincide with the release of a music video for the namesake track, “Stress Free,” which brings to life D’Banj’s invitation to live on the lighter side by letting go of what you can’t control and focusing on what you can.
