“I just took my friend to the studio, there was space on a song, so I jumped on it. Yeah, when we released the song, everyone liked my part. So I eventually made one big song ‘Marry Juana’. Like boom! It went viral”
When asked if he considers himself a gangster, he said:
“I am still a gangster, you know. I’m a gangster. I wouldn’t say I was a gangster. I am a gangster”.
This is Naira Marley reply to if he witnessed gangster lifestyle as a kid and what his take on violence is :
“I’d see people dying over cultism, setting thieves on fire, I witnessed it. Like Nigeria where I am seeing it and London where I am going through it’.
Naira Marley claims ‘Yahoo’ is being blown out of proportion in Nigeria. He claims were not the Country with the highest number of cyber crime, the only issue is we’re not allowed to address issues and talk here or else it would constitute huge problems.
“They just named everything to do with Fraud as Yahoo. That one is wrong in the first place. Nigerians are not even the biggest scammer. We’re not even in the top hundred, but we are like the face of it. What is a yahoo boy? What it that like? … over there in the UK, you can say anything we want. You can say I don’t think the Queen is doing this, I don’t think … no one’s going to arrest you. Over here you can’t do that. I got arrested for no reason, I was just talking too much on Live Instagram”
