Nigerian veteran rapper Olamide has revealed via his official Twitter handle that he will be dropping his 10th studio album soon and might probably be his last album.
According to Olamide, it has been a great time releasing albums steadily, and he promises to make this 10th one the best of its kind. His tweet read;
“Next Album, #Unruly; 95% ready. Release date; I don’t know
Taking my time to make it the best ever, probably my last album.
I’ll drop singles once in a blue moon when I feel like it. It’s been a mad ass run, giving albums back-to-back.”
Olamide officially began his music career in the Nigerian music scene in 2010 with his chart-topping single “Eni Duro.” He released his debut album “Rapsodi” in 2011 with its lead single “Omo To Shan.” Since then, Olamide has collaborated with many Nigerian artists, like WizKid, 9ice, Fireboy, Reminisce, Naira Marley, Bella Shmurda, and Dbanj, among others, maintaining an eleven-year album run.
His latest albums have achieved greater heights, like “Uy Scuti,” released in June 2021 with over 30 million streams on Boomplay, and “Carpe diem” in 2020 with over 76 million views on Boomplay and other streaming platforms.
