There is certainly a music chemistry between WIZKID and Tems and this chemistry was further shown in the music video of fans favourite song off the Made In Lagos Album, Essence.
Essence is the 11th song off Wizkid’s fourth studio album. It was released on October 30, 2020, by Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records. It features guest appearances from British artists Skepta and Ella Mai, American R&B singer H.E.R., Jamaican artists Projexx and Damian Marley, and Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Tems, Tay Iwar and Terri. Made In Lagos has a total of 14 tracks with genres such as Afrobeats, soul, R&B and raggae.
The anticipation for the visuals for essence has been on the rise after the audio dropped as fans can’t wait to see the magic the duo would create. The song, “Essence” was recorded after Wizkid fell in love with the sound of the rising female act in Nigeria’s music industry, Tems. Tems accepted the collaboration offer with Starboy and after the recording of “Essence“, Wizkid came out to tell fans that he and Tems made magic.
